ICCR Chair of Hindi in the University of Valladolid

The Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) and the University of Valladolid agreed to cooperate in the establishment and functioning of the Chair of Hindi and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on September 2018.

Every year, a visiting professor from the Republic of India will stay at the University of Valladolid for one academic year and teach Hindi language and culture. The purpose of the Chair is to design and implement activities connected to the learning of Hindi language and culture at the University of Valladolid. It also aims to strengthening ICCR-UVa relationship through an institutional agreement between the two institutions and countries.

The Chair would deliver lectures and seminars on various aspects related to the promotion of Hindi language and culture. The Chair would also identify areas in collaboration with the various Departments interested in Hindi.

Academic year 2018-2019 y 2019-2020 Prof. Ram Prakash Yadav

Prof. Ram Prakash Yadav is Assistant Professor at the Department of Translation Studies, School of Translation and Interpretation, at Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalay, in Wardha, India. His research interests are developed in the field of Applied Linguistics, Translation Studies and Sociolinguistics.
